Road bikers can enjoy quiet country lanes or England’s highest passes such as Kirkstone Pass, Wrynose Pass, Blea Tarn or Hardknott Pass, which is the steepest road in England.

LAKE CRUISE
No visit is complete without a cruise along Lake Windermere. Take the Windermere Ferry across to Bowness and sail to Bowness and Waterhead for Ambleside for shops & attractions or to Lakeside for museums.

The Lakeland Motor Museum never fails to delight for kids and big kids! Offering a unique collection of 30000 exhibits and housed at Newby Bridge, view cars you will recognise from films and TV along with classic cars and motorbikes. Look out for the changing exhibits.
BEATRIX POTTER
We are within walking distance of Hill Top, the National Trust owned former home of Beatrix Potter and in nearby Hawkshead, the home of the Beatrix Potter. Choose to book a Hill Top tour, a garden tour or visit the gallery in Hawkshead which all attract visitors from all over the world
LAKELAND MOTOR MUSEUM
The award winning jetty museum is one of the newest attractions in the area. For boat enthusiasts, families, those into history there is plenty to see and do. The heritage boat trips are a superb way to experience Lake Windermere and of course, see the views along the way.

Once the home of John Ruskin, this stunning historic house is set in acres of gardens overlooking Coniston Water. Look out for the exhibitions, both contemporary and historic, as well as enjoy the house and gardens and café.
